Accessibility statement

Simply Save Solar aims to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA across this website. This statement describes what we do, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when we get it wrong.

What we build to

  • Semantic headings with one clear H1 per page, in a logical order
  • Every interactive control reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator
  • Form fields with real labels, and error messages programmatically associated with the field they describe
  • Colour contrast checked against WCAG 2.2 AA, including a rule that our light-blue accent is never used as body text on a light background
  • Motion that respects prefers-reduced-motion — the animated hero does not play, and the additional imagery is not downloaded
  • Images carrying descriptive alternative text, or marked decorative when they add nothing
  • Content that reflows without horizontal scrolling from 360px upward

Known limitations

  • This is a pre-launch build. Automated checks run on every build, but a full audit with assistive technology users has not been carried out.
  • The estimate form is a frontend preview. It does not submit, and the confirmation state is local — so any accessibility issue in a real submission flow is untested by definition.
  • Third-party content is not embedded anywhere yet. When it is, its accessibility will not be entirely within our control.
